Salad Oil, Spritzers, and Sleepytime Tea — A Few Fun Summertime CBD Recipes

Foodies have a new obsession: CBD-infused edibles. From chocolate and coffee to gummies and chewing gum, there’s seemingly no end to the CBD treats you could find nowadays. Believe it or not, industry analysts forecast the CBD edibles market could reach as high as $516 million before 2030!

While plenty of manufacturers are creating crazy CBD goodies, that doesn’t mean you need to rely on pre-packaged edibles. Many customers have reported great success adding our Mellow Mint Drops to homemade CBD recipes. While you could add our CBD tincture to pretty much anything, here are a few of our favorite CBD recipes for the summer season.

Simple CBD Recipes To Relieve Stress

A Zesty Way To Stay Refreshed — CBD-Infused Lemonade Spritzers With Basil

Spiked seltzers may be gaining momentum, but that doesn’t mean you can’t mellow out with a few mocktails. Many people are shocked by how relaxed they feel while sipping a non-alcoholic CBD spritzer. As a bonus, you don’t have to worry about hangovers when using hemp extract!

Arguably, fresh lemon juice is the most iconic flavor in a summertime spritzer. If you’re making this drink for a large crowd, juice at least six lemons and strain out the seeds into your pitcher. You can then add about five cups of water, a sweetener of your choice, and a few teaspoons of our Mellow Mint Drops.

Before you’re ready to serve, place a few fresh basil leaves in the bottom of each serving glass and give them a good muddle. Add your lemon mixture halfway up each glass and finish with a can of plain seltzer water. For a final flourish, consider garnishing with a lemon wheel, fresh mint leaves, or basil leaves.

A Stress-Free After-Dinner Snack — Anti-Anxiety CBD Cookies

No matter what diet you’re on, nobody can resist a batch of fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies. Although this isn’t exactly a “health food,” we’d argue it’s good for the soul. Plus, if you add a dropperful of CBD to your wet ingredients, you might tame that sugar rush!

While there are loads of cookie recipes you can follow, the basics are typically the same. Mix butter into your choice of sugar before adding eggs, salt, vanilla extract, flour, baking soda, chocolate chips, and CBD oil. Typically, cookies take about 10 -12 minutes in a 350°F oven to cook.

Relax With Romaine — CBD Salad Oil Dressing

Whether you love watercress, arugula, or plain old lettuce, summer is the best season for a crisp salad. As a bonus, since CBD is a fat-soluble molecule, it can easily attach to extra virgin olive oil. Many home chefs add a dropperful of CBD to their preferred oil to add some stress relief to their salad.

If you’re feeling more adventurous, then you could mix other fresh flavors to your CBD salad dressing. Some people like to blend their CBD-infused olive oil with fresh strawberries, apple cider vinegar, and red wine vinegar. Alternatively, you could mix Italian herbs with garlic, EVOO, and lemon juice for a DIY aioli. Lastly, for all your avocado fans, you could easily smash some CBD into a creamy avo dressing.

Whatever dressing you most prefer, don’t forget to add a dropperful of CBD for some instant relief.

Taste the TikTok Trend — Romaine Lettuce Sleepy Time Tea and CBD!

For most of civilized history, lettuce has been used in salads, soups, or as a garnish. However, since we live in the age of TikTok, people have started trying unique ways of using this veggie.

Apparently, when most TikTokers talk about green tea, they’re not referring to matcha. Instead, these TikTok influencers are brewing steamy cups of romaine lettuce tea!

Supposedly, this bewildering brew helps drinkers settle down before bedtime. Although there’s no scientific evidence that romaine lettuce tea has sedative properties, some fans claim they feel drowsy after drinking it.

If you’re thinking about trying this strange tea, we’d recommend adding at least one dropperful of our Mellow Mint Drops. Not only will the peppermint essential oil curb this drink’s nasty taste, the CBD may help with sleep. Unlike romaine lettuce, there’s plenty of evidence suggesting CBD has natural sedative potential.

FYI: CBD Edibles Take Extra Time!

Adding CBD to recipes is one of the simplest ways to sneak this cannabinoid into your daily routine. However, please remember that CBD edibles don’t work as quickly as taking a tincture sublingually. Instead of getting absorbed directly into your bloodstream, CBD edibles have to travel through the digestive tract. So, please don’t expect to feel our signature chil a few seconds after eating your CBD treats. While everyone has a different metabolism, it usually takes about 45 minutes to feel the effects of an edible.
